Title: "How strong can the electron-phonon interaction in metals be?"

Abstract: I’ll show that there is a fundamental upper limit on the physical electron-phonon interaction strength in metals. This, in turn, implies an upper bound on the superconducting Tc. We’ll then compare these bounds with old and new experimental data and various theoretical predictions. Time permitting, I’ll also show how our theory can explain a number of intriguing experiments, such as the observation of metastable superconductivity in FeSe.
