Campaign Success!

During Halloween weekend, we finally held our first campaign! We delivered Halloween cupcakes and slices pumpkin pie to students on campus, and in return students donated to GlobeMed to support our partner, KWAT. Overall, we were able to raise over $550, nearly 20% of our initial goal for the year!!! We hope to continue on this track and raise more funds for our partner.

Also, we had our e-board retreat this past weekend, which consisted of making t-shirts, baking cookies, and discussing our campaign timeline for the year. Some ideas we came up with include hosting a touch football tournament, holding a benefit dinner with Burmese food, and a more Dartmouth specific event, such as a flair sale (flair = outrageous, ridiculous, sparkly, colorful clothes). We discussed Individual Giving and hope to have our Razoo page posted online soon. Towards the end of this term, we plan on having our second campaign. During finals reading period, we will be holding “Crepes for KWAT” in our library.We will be making crepes with our new GlobeMed crepe machine and students can donate to support our partner and project in return. We hope this campaign is just as much as a success as our first one!!
