I am currently working on a multi-volume new biography of Hu Shi, the most important intellectual leader in twentieth-century China.
The first volume,
Educating Hu Shi, 1891-1917
, was published in 2011 both in Taiwan (traditional-character-edition) and in China (simplified-character-edition).
The second volume, The Midday Sun: Hu Shi and China’s New Culture, 1917-1927
, was published in Taiwan and China in 2013.
