Pretty much everyone loves a good taco. Whether it’s a taco shop, a taco truck, or tacos at home, they’re hard to resist!

While there are all types of amazing fillings for tacos, one of the most popular ways to make tacos at home is with ground beef or ground turkey. It’s easy, cheap, and with the right taco seasonings and toppings, so good!

I fully admit that taco seasoning packets are cheap and easy. I’ve used them many, many times in my kitchen – there’s no shame in it! But once I realized how easily I could mix up my own taco seasoning mix, I’ve been doing it ever since.

One of the best things about this taco seasoning recipe is that it only takes four main spices, plus salt and pepper. The four seasonings you will need are:

• chili powder
• cumin
• garlic powder
• cayenne pepper

All you have to do is measure out the ingredients into a small bowl and mix them up!

How to Use Taco Seasoning

This recipe makes the perfect amount of taco seasoning for 1 pound of ground beef.

To use, sprinkle the taco seasoning on 1 pound of cooked ground beef. Then, sprinkle 2 tablespoons water over seasoning and stir to combine with meat.

Want to use this taco seasoning with other meats? You can! Use it with 1 pound of ground turkey, chicken, or other cuts of beef.

You could also buy empty spice jars. I really like these glass spice jars with stainless steel lids. I really like the way they look and the lids and the glass are good quality too.
