    Jojoba
    Latin name: Simmondsia chinensis
    Jojoba, in fact, is not an oil but a liquid wax.  It is extracted from the seed of the plant and is noted for its protective barrier properties when rubbed onto the skin. Unlike many other carrier oils, jojoba is chemically very similar to human sebum- oil which our skin naturally produces. It is very nourishing, moisturising and protecting.
