Monthly Income Report for June 2012

Sharing is caring!

Welcome to my Monthly Income Report for June 2012

Over the course of the last 2 years, since I  took the blog seriously, I have been asked how I make income from the blog and have been asked to help others do the same.   Time constraints have stopped me from helping as many people as I would like to.

This report is not about showing off in any way it's a way to motivate others who are blogging to make money online.

I have to say it took me a hell of a long time to find my feet and really, it took 4 years to make any sort of regular income.   So this is not an easy route to take, but for me it's the love of writing, the love of helping others, and the love of money 🙂 that keeps me going.

Another thing to consider is I am still doing this on a part time basis, working maybe 5 hours per day with my online business, and working full time as an addiction worker.   Hopefully before the end of the year I will be working full time at this, but I've been saying that for a few years now 🙂

Thanks for all the great feedback, I hope you enjoy this months report.

What's New in June?

June has been exceptionally quiet for me with promotions and the number of emails I have sent promoting others materials. As such my earnings went down big time this month, but it's already back on track for July.  The number of promotional emails sent out this month reflects the poor net profit.

My email schedule usually goes something like this:

Day 1– Blog post link

Day 3– Personal story from my life (this could be anything from a walking the dog story, to what I got up to at the weekend, usually with a personal development lesson built in)

Day 5– Blog post link

Day 7– Promotion of a product I like

But June has seen me building around 6 websites testing new niches so the emails have feel by the wayside a little, something I will have to sort immediately before I lose subscribers.

The blog at   BringTheFresh.com  is quietly burning away, but I have big plans for it and am happy for it to smolder in the background just now.

Clickbank has finally approved our   Guided Mediation product The Re-Awakening  and it will be going live on Clickbank any day now, once I get the Clickbank affiliate page sorted out.  So it will be live on two sites: Clickbank and Rapbank, so you can still buy it just now.

I have also been on a bit of a spending spree which has lowered my net profit by around 20%

I have added Google Adsense Ads to the site to test it out.  The first few days were rotten as I was getting used to the system again.  However in the last 7 days I am earning around $40 per day, but I've still some tweaking to do.  So, hopefully Google will help me earn an extra $1,200 $1,500 per month.

Lessons learned This Month

As I said I spent a lot of money investing in software and educational products, and sales were down all round.  It definitely goes to show, what you don't focus on won't make you money.

I don't know why I haven't added Google Adsense onto the site before now as a way to get passive income from the site.  I know it annoys some people, but after a while you get what is called 'Ad blindness' and readers don't even see the ads.  I have focused on 'The Nomads', the readers who visit your site only once and are going to leave no matter what.

Another big lesson is the fact that if you spread yourself too thin something is going to give.  I am on the edge at the moment with my blog and doing other projects + the full time job.  I notice if I slack with my blog the number of visitors start going down, if I focus too much on the blog I can lose sight of other projects.  This will all come together when I go full time, but for now it can be really tough.

Hope that inspires you a little, or not :), but rest assured next months net profit will be better.
