Welcome to my Monthly Income Report for May 2012
Over the course of the last 2 years, since I took the blog seriously, I have been asked how I make income from the blog and have been asked to help others do the same. Time constraints have stopped me from helping as many people as I would like to, but that will soon be changing 
(watch this space)
This report is not about showing off in any way it's a way to motivate others who are blogging to make money online.
I have to say it took me a hell of a long time to find my feet and really, it took 4 years to make any sort of regular income. So this is not an easy route to take, but for me it's the love of writing, the love of helping others, and the love of money 🙂 that keeps me going.
Another thing to consider before I go on is to tell you that I am still doing this on a part time basis, working maybe 5 hours per day with my online business, and working full time as an addiction worker. Hopefully before the end of the year I will be working full time at this, but I've been saying that for a few years now 🙂

What's New in May?
May was a month of big launches, mainly Brendon Burchards High Performance Academy and Greg and Alvin's Mind Secrets Exposed 2.0. I participated in both of these launches, I'll show you the figures below.
I've also ventured into niche marketing to test new areas of passive income. I've started 3 sites and am working on them bringing in subscribers and some extra income. They have literally just been set up and I'm doing it with the help of Mike Long and Kelly Felix from BringTheFresh.com
As I've had a lot of emails about making money online, I've decided to start another blog which will be ready for the end of next month. I'll let you know more details via email if you're a subscriber.
Myself and Angela Artemis have decided to move our Guided Mediation product The Re-Awakening onto Clickbank, the largest affiliate network in the world. It's also going up in price from $27 to $47. Strangely enough when I announced this to my subscriber list I received a lot of emails saying that $47 was a much better price for this product. You can still get it for $27 for another few days before the move. We currently have the site listed on Rapbank, which is a great platform as we're using Rapid Action Profits to build our websites and get affiliates. We will still be using Rapid Action Profits but using their Clickbank plugin to sell from Clickbank, which means we get the best of both worlds. We made a decision before The Re-Awakening was launched that if sales exceeded $10,000 we would move to Clickbank and to date sales have reached $10,995 with the help of a lot of affiliates, not bad since we were only testing the market here. I have to give a big shout out to Melody Fletcher who has brought in over 10% of all sales with her blog. You should check out her post The Re-Awakening Guided Meditation to see exactly what she did to get these sales.
Again, A lot of readers have asked what products I am using to help with my marketing efforts so I will share a resource list at the end of this post. I use a lot of tools but will list the ones I use and love.
My Kindle account was suspended for a few weeks as they looked at my books for originality. They thought that because my books were sold elsewhere as ebooks that I was not the owner. I am happy to say they have now re-instated my account, but it did hurt sales.

Lessons learned This Month
$2,316.20 earned this month is still okay for a part time income but I could have increased this amount by looking for more advertisers and looking for more affiliate offers to promote. I only focused on two products this month rather than my usual 4 products per month, however I don't want to spam my subscriber list too much, and these 2 promotions earned me $1,400 this month.
I have also learned that you have to keep up with what's going on in internet marketing and email marketing. There have been some new developments, particularly with Google Penguin updates, I had to modify a strategy I was using with my new niche product websites because of this.
If you want to earn money with your blog and promoting others products you have to be social and keep in touch with your peers. I am not the best in the world at this, but I push myself to keep in touch as much as possible.
Another big lesson is the fact that if you spread yourself too thin something is going to give. I am on the edge at the moment with my blog and doing other projects + the full time job. I notice if I slack with my blog the number of visitors start going down, if I focus too much on the blog I can lose sight of other projects. This will all come together when I go full time, but for now it can be really tough.
