Dave

Dave is a renaissance guy. He fits the classical description: a man with wide-ranging intellect, gifted in his craft, and possessing the competence of an expert. He knows when the old ways work better than the new. Because he is an expert oven builder, Dave understands ancient masonry techniques that are still practiced by master builders in Europe and South America.  But he keeps up-to-date on what’s available in new materials, tools and technology. He takes the best from both worlds, and that’s one of the reasons why Dave’s ovens are amazing.  Just ask anyone who’s watched him work.

I love my oven and I love sharing my enthusiasm for wood-fired cooking. Dave and I are passionate about building wood-fired ovens and capturing what was good in the past and will continue to be good in the future. We believe that essence of good is more than eating local fresh produce, although it includes that. It’s about pursuing great food and sharing it with others. We all can make that personal.
