If you’re planning an event, and want the food to make a lasting impression on your guests, just smile and say “Toasty Cheese.” Our unique offerings―that leave the ordinary sandwich behind―can fit just about any type of event, from casual to business and from celebration to themed.

Days of Operation:

We operate seven days a week. We take time to chill on most holidays, but we’re flexible at the same time, so call us to see if we can do your holiday party.

Event Start Times:

Call us with your scheduled times, and we can discuss the logistics. We will usually arrive one hour prior to the event for set-up.

Truck Minimum Orders:

The minimum order for any event varies. All prices are based on a minimum of two hours of food service. Please note: For events longer than two hours, the minimums & charge per person will increase.

Guaranteed Parking:

The Toasty Cheese food truck must have a pre-designated space to park in. Listed below are the spatial requirements to give the truck safe and easy access for your guest:

CLEARANCE:

Approximate length: 30 feet; height; 25 feet; width; 15 feet; weight: 15k lbs.

PARKING:

Private parking area or street parking (at least 200 feet from food establishments & 500 feet from schools)

TRUCK DIMENSIONS(trucks vary, please see above clearance needed):

Length: 25 feet; height: 14 feet (open top); 12.5 feet (closed top); width: 13 feet (side to side width, door panels open); 10 feet (closed)

Client must verify that we are allowed to park at the event location site.If, for any reason, the Toasty Cheese Truck is unable to park at the event, all monies for the event, in full, will be retained by TOASTY CHEESE, INC. ™.

The TOASTY CHEESE TRUCK™ cannot drive up hills with a 30% grade or higher.

Catering FAQ’s

Q: What days do you operate?

A: Seven days a week and some holidays.

Q: What time do you start?

A:  Depends on the event. (We arrive 1 hour prior to the event in order to set up.)

Q: Does TOASTY CHEESE cater weddings?

A: Of course we do. We’re married to making weddings a special day.

Q: What other events does TOASTY CHEESE especially like to cater?

A: There aren’t many events where we don’t love to share our tasty TOASTY CHEESE. That’s because our unique menu of creative, quality foods works for virtually every occasion! Birthdays, parties, church gatherings, tastings, meetings or any special event!

Q: How much is the TOASTY CHEESE service charge? Should I pay separately for gratuity?

A: Service charges typically run from 10%-20% for catered events. Our current service charge is 15% for any order of $100 or more. A gratuity may be added or given at the time of the event―at your own discretion.

Q: What is the travel fee for? And how is it determined?

A: The travel fee makes it possible for us to provide labor & utilities service to your area. If the event is within eight miles of our Schaumberg location, the travel fee is waived and anything beyond that we charge per mile.

Q: Do I need to provide a permit for TOASTY CHEESE to cater my event?

A: It depends on which municipality you are located in. Some municipalities may require $90-$350 in permit fees, unless we will be parking on private property, in which case permits may not be required. Please check with your city for its requirements.

Q: I have filled out the Catering Request Form. Does this mean I have booked the event?

A: No, it is just a Request. In order to secure your event, you will need to sign the TOASTY CHEESE™ Contract and pay the 50% deposit.

Q: Can I place a pick-up order from the truck?

A: Yes

Q: The price quotes have gone up since the last time we talked. Can you honor the old prices?

A: Unfortunately, unless a contract with the old prices is signed by both TOASTY CHEESE and the client, we must adhere to current prices.

Q: Can I pre-order a fixed amount of food and serve them in chafing trays?

A: You are always free to do whatever you like. However, even the “Head Dishwasher” does not recommend chafing trays, as the food tastes best hot off the TOASTY CHEESE griddle.  We do not currently provide chafing trays. The reason:  We’re sticklers for absolute freshness.

Q: Do we need to provide our own trash cans, plates, utensils and napkins? 

A: NO! We will provide all of that for you. If you have a request for specific serving wares, please request those when you place the order.

Q: How far in advance should I book a TOASTY CHEESE event?

A: Catered events must be booked by Friday, 12 noon, the week prior to the event.

Q: How do I go about booking an event?

A: To book/secure a date, we would need both a signed/initialed Contract & a Deposit. Please email a completed Catering Request form so we can draw up a contract for you.

Q: When is payment due?

A: The total, in full, is due via Credit Card two business days (no later than 48 hours) prior to your event or by Cash 24 hours before the event. Checks will only be accepted 10 DAYS PRIOR (to allow for clearance).

Q: Is the Deposit refundable?

A: TOASTY CHEESE™ requires a 50% deposit to secure any event. If your event is cancelled:

• If canceled 30 or more days prior to the event date, the full deposit will be refunded.

• If canceled 15-29 days prior to event, 75% of the deposit will be refunded.

• If canceled 4-14 days prior to event, the full deposit will be retained by TOASTY CHEESE™.

• If canceled 3 days or less prior to the event, the full amount of the event will be retained / owed to TOASTY CHEESE™.

Q: What form of payments do you accept?

A: TOASTY CHEESE accepts cash, credit cards, and cashier checks―Payable to: Toasty Cheese, Inc.
