Marbled Paper Leaves using Shaving Cream Marbled Paper

You know I’m batty for making marbled paper using shaving cream, right? I buy way too much shaving cream at the Dollar Store to be considered normal. Maybe it’s because I grew up with the gorgeous marbled paper on the inside of the Reader’s Digest books or maybe I just like it because of how simple the entire process is.

Without a doubt, if you’re looking for a super easy DIY fall decor, Marbled  Paper Leaves are the project for you.

Making Marbled Leaves are easy and when you’re done you can use them as gift cards, name tags or even string them on twine and hang them as fall bunting.

First you simply make marbled paper on construction paper or a lightweight cardstock. If you want you can also do this on old book pages to make it a sustainable recycling craft. You don’t have to buy all new paper for his project. Use and re-use!

Marbled Paper with Shaving Cream

I have the step-by-step process for making marbled paper with shaving cream already posted for you. Simply follow those instructions and make sheets of marbled paper.

As you’ll read in that post, I like using half sheets of paper because I find the size is easiest to work with.

Once you have your completed marbled paper, use a leaf cookie cutter (or a real leaf) to trace leaf shapes onto the paper. Then all you have to do is cut it out.

You can also use your Cricut or Silhouette to cut out the leaf shapes but I wasn’t making too many so cutting it out by hand only took a few minutes.

After I cut these out, I poked a hole in the top of each leaf and tied to them to twine to make leaf bunting. However I think these would make adorable place cards for thanksgiving . Simply tie them onto your napkins similar to what I did with these air dry clay leaves :

I love fall colors and since I live in Houston, we don’t have pretty fall leaves. So.. what’s a girl to do other than make her own fall leaves?

What are you going to make with your marbled paper?

If you love this idea, please take a minute and share it. Thank you!
