co2auplancher is supported by movi-mento.ch. It is a campaign that aims to raise awareness about the benefits of using energy-efficient vehicles with at least an “A” rating. It also promotes vehicles with carbon dioxide emissions not going more than 95 g/km.

How to Win the Contest

Here are the 4 easy steps needed to win a Ford Mondeo Hybrid during the Geneva auto show:

Step 1: Download the App

The first step is to download the Salon Car Collector app with your smartphone. The app works with iOS and Android devices. It can be found on the App Store and Google Play .

Step 2: Attend the 2017 Geneva Motor Show

Attend the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The show runs from March 9 to 19, 2017. At the venue, make sure that the Bluetooth of your smartphone has been activated.

Step 3: Look For Energy-Efficient Vehicles

Watch out for fuel-efficient vehicles with low CO2-emission ratings. It does not matter if the auto runs on petrol, fossil fuel or electricity as long as it falls on the abovementioned category. Get close to each car and scan it with your phone.

To help you quickly identify the fuel-efficient and low emission vehicles, you can use the information provided by the official website of  co2auplancher .

5 Quick Facts About the Volkswagen Arteon

Another car that will be gracing the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March is the Volkswagen Arteon. More than a week before the big event, Volkswagen released the teaser images of the car through a sketch as well as closeup look at its front grille and taillights.

1. About the Car’s Name

The Volkswagen Arteon’s name is derived from the words “art” and “eon”. “Art” points out to the stylish lines and curves of the car. On the other hand, “eon” refers to its status as a premium model.

2. Arteon in the Volkswagen Hierarchy

According to a report , the Volkswagen Arteon is referred to by its maker as a fastback. The auto is the successor of the CC sedan and a notch above the Passat midsize sedan. The car is based on the Sport Coupe GTE Concept shown in the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

3. Design of the Arteon

As seen in the spy photos, the Volkswagen Arteon sports a futuristic design. The headlamps appear to be integrated in both ends of the car’s radiator grille. VW claimed that the Arteon will possess their latest generation of driver assistance systems while the front and back lighting system come in LED.

Despite the compact styling of the fastback, VW said that the vehicle offers a spacious interior. That is thanks to the MQB platform of the auto, which was adapted from the Passat. Expect the same level of interior elements and tech from the Passat to be carried over to the Arteon too.

4. Engine

The US market-bound Arteon might be equipped with a 2.0-liter TSI engine with an output of more than 270 bhp. It should be noted though that the test mules of the car that we have seen so far in a series of spy shots  were using a watered down version of the engine with 190 bhp. All that power is distributed via a 7-speed DSG dual clutch automatic gearbox.

5. Competition

The Arteon aims to rival the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe when it comes out of the market.

Der neue Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet: Streng limitiert: Open-Air-Luxus on- und offroad

After the revival of Maybach, now as a sub-brand of Mercedes-Benz known as Mercedes-Maybach, it used to focus only on the S-Class. Later on, a concept car exclusive to that name was released.

Recently, it was revealed that the G-Class is also getting the same treatment. The Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet will be introduced at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March.

It should be noted that Mercedes-Benz teased the landaulet around two weeks ago. But shortly following the teaser image came a leak of the vehicle without any camouflage, which probably forced its maker to prematurely unveil the auto before it even reached Geneva.

Here are the 5 major features of the new Mercedes-Maybach landaulet:

The Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet follows the styling cues of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 6×6 and its successor, the Mercedes-Benz G 500 4×4 2 . The G-Class landaulet from Mercedes-Maybach can accommodate up to four passengers. The rear seats can be fully-reclined for the utmost comfort of its occupants. Aside from the high-end leather surfaces of the auto, it also has massage functions and neck-level heating system.

4. Engine

The Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet carries a V12 biturbo engine like the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class models. The output of the unit is 630 hp with 1,000 Nm of torque. Mercedes-Benz claimed that the vehicle has a combined fuel consumption of 17.0 l/100 km and its combined CO 2 emissions is 397 g/km.

aston martin db11 q (11)

1. Exterior

The Aston Martin DB11 Q comes in Zaffre Blue. The paint job features an exclusive finish which gives an illusion that it changes its colors based on the lighting present in its environment. The wheel is also finished in blue to match the car’s body color. Then the front splitter, sills at the side, rear diffuser, bonnet lines, mirror caps, badges, and hubcaps are all made from carbon fiber materials.

2. Interior

The interior surfaces of the DB11 Q is covered in Obsidian Black semi-aniline leather. The same Zaffre Blue theme is used to give more details to the linings of the seats, side panels and to the stitching found in the car’s dashboard. Of course, there are a couple of “Q” badges inside to highlight the special identity of the auto.

4. Pricing

Aston Martin didn’t release specific information about the cost of the DB11 Q. That’s because the pricing of the car depends on the specifications set by the customer to it. But as a reference, the base model of the vehicle is around $211,995, so buyers should expect to pay more than that.

2017 Eagle Spyder GT vs Jaguar E-Type Series 1

jaguar type e series 1

When we talk about the most beautiful cars ever created, these two will surely be at the top of the list. The Eagle Spyder GT looks very similar to the Jaguar E-Type Series 1 because the tubular, projectile form that feels like the cars can basically whip through the wind.

But these two cars don’t only look good on the outside. They are spectacularly well under the hood, too.

Eagle Spyder GT

eagle spyder gt

The Eagle Spyder comes with the classic inline 6-cylinder engine derived from Jaguar’s XK family. It can carry around 4.7 liters worth of gas, and is paired with a five-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential.

To develop this engine, Eagle worked with Crosthwaite and Gardiner, a UK-based historic racing parts supplier. They were able to power up the Spyder GT to 330 horsepower at 4,800 rpm and 340 pound-feet of torque at 3,600 rpm. The Spyder GT can go from 0 to 60 mph in less than five seconds. Top speed is at 170 mph.

Jaguar E-Type Series 1

jaguar type e series 1

A lot has been said about the Jaguar E-Type Series 1, especially because it was designed by aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer. The glass-covered headlamps and small, grille-less opening of the mile-long bonnet are things of beauty. It is such a looker that virtually everyone it passes by would have to take a second look.

Under its hood, you’ll find a 3.8-liter XK inline six-cylinder or 4.2-liter XK inline six-cylinder. The former is paired with a four-speed manual while the latter gets it on with a three-speed automatic. They can produce 265 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 240 pound-feet of torque for the 3.8-liter engine while the 4.2-liter can power up to 265 horsepower at 5,400 rpm and 283 pound-feet of torque.

Both cars can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 6.5 seconds. The number is a far cry from the Spyder’s less-than-five-seconds’ promise. The top speed of the two is at 150 mph.

3 Things To Know About The 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid

2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid (3)

The 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is finally going to compete against the Toyota RAV4, though we are not sure how this will fare because RAV4 has been alone in the crossover hybrid segment for quite some time now.

Given that the Rogue Hybrid will be around $1,440 less than the RAV4, we’re pretty sure there is a market for this crossover. Not only that, the Rogue also received a mildly better EPA ratings, so environmentalists will surely take notice.

Here are the top 3 features of the hybrid crossover based on a report :

1. Prices

The base model will start at $27,180 for a front-drive SV model and $32,100 for a front-drive SL model. This is around $1,000 to $1,200 more than the prices of the non-hybrid Rogue. To really compete with the Toyota RAV4 (which only comes in AWD), however, you need to add $1,350 on the Nissan’s base price.

This will reflect the fee Nissan charges for an all-wheel drive system. With this additional fee, the Rogue Hybrid SV AWD will come at $28,530, which is $1,440 cheaper than the RAV4 XLE Hybrid. The Rogue SL, on the other hand, costs $33,450 with AWD. This is the model aimed between the hybrid’s SE ($33,125) and Limited ($34,970) trim models.

2. Equipment

Standard to the Rogue SV are automatic climate control, heated front seats, remote start, and blind-spot warning. If you want the Premium package, you will need to add $2,870. That gives you access to navigation, a Bose audio system, a panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and a power liftgate.

The SIL comes with all those as standard, except for the sunroof. It adds, however, these: leather seats, LED headlights, and 18-inch wheels. If you want the panoramic sunroof and automated emergency braking, you’ll have to add $1,520.

3. Efficiency

The Rogue Hybrid received a rating of 34 mpg combined for front-drive models and 33 mpg combined for all-wheel drive. That’s about 2 mpg more than RAV4’s 32 mpg in fuel economy.

Under the hood, the Rogue is fitted with 2.0-liter four-cylinder paired to a 40-hp electric motor for a total of 176 horsepower.

3 Important Features Of The 2017 Seat Ibiza

2017 Seat Ibiza (4)

The fifth-generation Seat Ibiza had a lot of leaks in the past weeks. And since the internet has typically spoiled the surprise, the maker of the auto was forced to release the official pictures when the leaks were already widespread.

It’s time we also take a look at the official photos  of the car:

1. Subcompact

Do you remember the five-door Leon compact hatchback? The 2017 Seat Ibiza looks quite similar to that in terms of the platform used and the dimensions as well. This supermini is just like the subcompact version of the Leon. That’s extremely shortsighted of the company, but competitors need to raise their A game.

The photos leaked were that of the Ibiza’s high-end version. The LED headlights and the alloys look mighty fine on the high-end model. We bet that it will cost more to have those on the Ibiza.

When it comes to the rear end, that’s where the comparisons between Leon and Ibiza end. The Ibiza has a double exhaust feature, which the Leon lacks.

2. Dimensions

The new Ibiza will be wider and the wheelbase will be longer by at least nine centimeters. That’s all because there’s a 355-liter trunk capacity somewhere in the interior. This is the same as the Golf 6, mind you.

When it comes to the interior, the infotainment system should be a blast thanks to the eight-inch display.

3. Powertrain

The high-end model will have a 1.4 TSI with 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque. If that’s too much for you, there’s the base model 1.0 TSI with an Eco version that produces 95 horsepower and paired with a five-speed manual.

The regular version, on the other hand, can come up with 115 horsepower and 200 Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission or the seven-speed DSG.

3 Things You’ll Want To Take Note About The 2017 Speedback GT

2017 Speedback GT (1)

Are you really surprised that the 2017 Speedback GT will be introduced during the Geneva Motor Show? The Swiss event is usually where really elegant cars are being propositioned, so we’re bound to see something truly amazing once the automakers start the ball rolling.

Here’s a look at the 2017 Speedback GT , which will be highlighted in the event:

It Has A Ginormous Price Tag

The price of the 2017 Speedback GT is no laughing matter. Only the truly, truly rich can afford this one as it’s slated to come out with a $622,330 price tag. It’s little wonder that David Brown Automotive wants their hands on it. The retro-flavored 2017 Speedback GT starts its life as a Jaguar XKR. After much tinkering around and at least 8,000 man hours of service, the Speedback GT finally came into fruition.

At the 2017 Geneva Auto Show, the coachbuilder will have two models on display. They will be wearing the latest updates and design enhancements. And why shouldn’t you be amazed? This started out as a regular XKR that was turned into ala-James Bond Aston Martin DB5 luxury car.

It’s Almost Unrecognizable

If we didn’t mention what this was, would you realize it was actually the Jaguar XKR? DBA used 142 panels on this car, which means that the only original left from the donor was the windshield frame. Even the painting process took more than eight weeks.

Instead of the XKR’s trunk lid, the Speedgate has a practical top-hinged tailgate, which lower section you can fold down to create a seat. In total, there are 237 changes on the 2014 prototype.

It Has The Same Engine

Though a lot has changed aesthetically, what’s under the hood remained the same—something that fans of the 2014 concept will surely appreciate. The 2017 Speedback GT still has the supercharged 5.-liter V-8 engine with 510 horsepower (380 kilowatts) and 461 pound-feet (625 Nm) of torque.

5 Things To Know About The Upcoming Honda S2000 Revival

Honda (3)

It makes sense for Honda to revive the S2000 because it has been pressuring itself to release a new sports car for the United States. Ever since the Japanese automaker decided to make a three-pronged lineup of sports cars, we have been waiting what it has in store for the US market.

Here are the five things we know about it based on a source :

1. Its Predecessors Came Out In 2015 And 2016

In 2015, we first saw the S660 microcoupe, which was the first sports car that Honda built for this lineup. It was powered by a mid-mounted turbocharged 660-cc inline-3. Last year, we saw the NSX supercar that came with a mid-mounted twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 aided by electric motors.

2. The S2000 Is For The US Market

The S660 was a Japanese-only car from Honda while the NSX was an Acura brand. The US, however, is Honda’s biggest market to date, which means it cannot shrug off this particular market. What it did is to recreate the S2000, which was loved by many.

3. It Was Introduced As A 50 th Anniversary Special

The original S2000 was launched during the company’s 50 th anniversary in 1998. Now that two decades have passed, it’s time to do it all over again. In commemoration of its 70 th anniversary, Honda plans to unveil the S2000 replacement with an RC213V-S superbike.

4. It Will Have A New Powertrain And Chassis

The replacement to the S2000 should have had the engine fitted in the Civic Type R. But seeing as this will be a special 70 th anniversary car that will arrive in 2018, Honda decided it would fit this one with a new powertrain and a new chassis.

5. It Will Be Lightweight And Fuel-Efficient

According to reports, the coming S2000 will have a two-stage electric boosting system, one that is similar to what has been developed by Mitsubishi. The system, tests showed, will make the new car compact, lightweight, and fuel efficient.
