2019 Chevy Blazer Crossover Starts At $29,995
The bold new looks of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer crossover can be yours for only $29,995. That’s the base price, which will come complete with a naturally-aspired four-cylinder engine that produces 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. Not bad, considering that the price falls below the 2019 Ford Edge ’s $30,990 and the 2018 Nissan Murano ’s $31,795.
The Chevy Blazer L, the base model, will also get a nine-speed automatic transmission paired with the four-cylinder engine. Front-wheel drive will be standard to the variant. Inside, it is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry and starting, heated mirrors, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
There are two other variants and trim levels available for this midsize crossover, but the company has not revealed their pricing details just yet. There’s the RS and the Premier, both of which have bigger wheels and styled rather more aggressive than the Chevy Blazer L.
The two trim levels are also packing the more powerful 3.6-liter V6 engine that makes a whopping 305 horsepower. This is an option for the L trim, but Chevy has not made the option price available yet. All-wheel drive is available on all trims, but the front-wheel setup will be standard.
If you want more style and convenience, Chevy is also offering the Blazer crossover with a host of cool features such as a panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats and the rear-camera mirror first found on Cadillacs.
You would think that Chevy will find a way to lower the price to around $25,000 when it announced the bold styling of the new Blazer. The price is fairly competitive when put alongside its more dominant competitors such as the Edge and the Murano. For its two-row capacity and plenty of cargo space, the 2019 Chevy Blazer should challenge the segment well enough.
3 Things To Know About The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer
Chevrolet has officially revealed the reborn Chevrolet Blazer in Atlanta. The 2019 model should give the upcoming Ford Bronco a run for its money, but it doesn’t look like it. Though it has an aggressive styling up front, the Blazer was made to look more like a family car rather than an off-road vehicle.
The new Blazer has exchanged its body-on-frame construction featuring a four-wheel drive system with a unibody structure partnered to a front-wheel drive. An all-wheel drive is now only an option. This is basically a two-row, five-seater mid-size SUV that somehow slots between the Equinox and the Traverse in the growing crossover lineup of Chevy.
Exterior
In terms of styling, the Blazer looks like a fusion of a 2019 Acura RDX and a 2019 Chevy Camaro. It has a massive grille, LED daytime running lights, a window line that sweeps upward towards the rear, and a floating roof treatment with blacked-out pillars.
Interior
The rear seats could slide to increase the leg room or the cargo space. If you fold the second row, the Blazer will have a total of 64.2 cubic feet of cargo capacity.
As for the tech stuff, Chevrolet hasn’t announced what will make the Blazer a cut above the rest. But details have emerged that standard to the crossover SUV would be an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 4G LTE connectivity that allows Wi-Fi hotspot, heated and cooled front seats, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, an electronically lockable glovebox, a cargo management system, wireless smartphone charging, 6 USB ports, a hands-free power liftgate, and a panoramic twin-pane sunroof.
There are safety features, too, such as adaptive cruise control and a rear camera mirror. These will be available in the RS and Premier models.
Powertrain
There are two available options right now in terms of power. The first one is coming from a 2.5-liter inline-4 that can produce 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. That’s the base model. Those who need more power might want the 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 305 horses and 269 pound-feet of torque. Both engines will be paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Top 3 Expectations From The Chevrolet Blazer
We are still unsure of what General Motors plans to call this midsize crossover seen being tested on the road. We assumed that the camouflaged Chevrolet vehicle being tested last week is indeed the model that hopes to bridge the gap between the Equinox and the Traverse.
Although it is smaller than the full-size Traverse, which is scheduled for a redesign for the 2018 model, the similarities are uncanny. Experts believe that this new vehicle from Chevrolet is going to be called the Blazer and that it will be the same size as the 2017 GMC Acadia.
1. It May Look Similar To The Acadia
The spy shots of the Chevrolet Blazer crossover SUV seen lately revealed the vehicle’s side profile. If we are to believe the photos we have just seen, we can assume that it will resemble the Acadia very closely.
But how did we know it was really a Chevy? Enough of the vehicle’s grille was visible through the camouflage and the sculpted headlights and LED daytime running lights are similar to the 2018 Equinox, which was brought to the limelight last September. Even the vehicle’s overall form gives off the feeling of it being a Chevrolet.
2. It Will Use The GM’s Chi Platform
Replacing the GM’s Theta Premium and Lambda platforms is the C1XX, pronounced as Chi. It is the platform specifically designed for the construction of midsize and full-size crossovers. Among its many features is that the power comes to the front wheels, it is transversely-mounted, its suspension system is dependent on the four wheels, it offers front- and all-wheel drives, it can support two- or three-row seating, and it has ample cargo space when the third row is up.
3. It Will Arrive As A 2018 Model Year
Before the Blazer is released to the market, we’ll get to see the redesigned Equinox first. The upgraded Equinox was made slower to give way to the Blazer, which will cover that part of the segment.
