Faculty Development Seminar on “Interprofessional Education in the Practice Learning Environment: Recognizing Opportunities”

On Friday, 2nd February 2024, The Centre of Interprofessional Education, Research and Practice Organize online Faculty Development Seminar on “Interprofessional Education in the Practice Learning Environment: Recognizing Opportunities“. The session delivered by: Dr. Veronica O’Carrol. Dr. Veronica O’Carroll is a Senior Lecturer and Director of PG Teaching at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland (UK). She is also the Programme Director for HPE and an Associate Editor for the Journal of Interprofessional Care.

Throughout the session, Dr. Veronica shared various models for integrating Interprofessional Education (IPE) in practice settings. She provided valuable insights into Practice Educators’ Attitudes and Perspectives of IPE. The concluding segment featured Dr. Veronica offering Top Tips to the audience, addressing ways to recognize opportunities and overcome barriers for the successful integration of Interprofessional Education in practice settings.

Dr. Eman El-labbad, the director of the GMU Centre of Interprofessional Education and Practice, comments “The session provided a valuable platform for educators, practitioners and scholars from various health professional background  to recognize opportunities and explore strategies to overcome barriers for the successful integration of Interprofessional Education in practice settings.”
