    Payroll Office Mission Statement & Team Values

    The Payroll office staff will work as a team to produce timely, accurate compensation for all work performed, we have confidence in each other as we all possess technical knowledge and seek to understand payroll laws in efforts to operate with honesty and confidentiality, while giving the best customer service. In doing so, we commit to be professional with all customers and use discretion while handling confidential information not only because we are a resource for the Dartmouth campus, but because we care about what we do and take pride in our jobs.

    Our team members are important to the success of producing accurate and timely payrolls. We value HONESTY, HOPEand FAIRNESS.

    The Payroll team works in the best interest of Dartmouth employees by treating all employees with honesty and fairness. We value honesty in dealing with employee pay and information, while taking responsibility for adhering to payroll laws, labor laws, and federal and state compliance. We are lifelong learners who strive for continuous improvement in all that we do, and aim for transparency within the payroll process. We expect the best and work hard to achieve it, hoping for a better future.

    Responsibilities

    The Payroll Office is responsible for all pay-related functions which include biweekly and monthly payroll for all College student and staff employees. Applying federal and state payroll laws and regulations, Payroll strives to process timely and accurate payments to all College employees.

    Specific functions include, but are not limited to:

    • creating and mailing W-2s
    • maintaining federal and state tax elections
    • entering student and staff timesheet
    • processing special payments and pay advances
    • address change requests
    • processing and transmitting direct deposits
    • processing involuntary/voluntary deductions
    • handling all Non-Resident Alien taxing for employees

    The Payroll Office is located at 7 Lebanon Street, Suite 309 and the office is open onsite Wednesdays and Thursdays: 10:00AM - 2:00PM.
