Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Makes Its Way to the Paris Auto Show
Last August, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ was shown for the first time in Pebble Beach. Now, the supercar makes its way to the 2018 Paris Auto Show.
The Aventador SVJ definitely posed a strong presence at the event. The highlights of the Aventador SVJ’s design include a pair of sports flaps that can be activated in under 500 milliseconds. Then it has a lot of aero parts like carbon fiber roof, rear decklid, front splitter, bespoke side skirts and custom wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.
The supercar uses the second iteration of the Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) system that was introduced by the Huracan Performante. The latest version of the system helps improve the downforce of the auto by 40 percent while reducing its drag by one percent.
The Aventador SVJ is equipped with a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine. The unit produces 759 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque. The power is distributed to all four wheels via a seven-speed, single-clutch, independent shirt-rod transmission.
The 0-62 mph acceleration of the supercar is 2.8 seconds, and its top speed is more than 217 mph. It’s so fast that it set a Nurburgring lap record during its development stage. It covered the whole lap of the endurance track in merely 6 minutes and 45 seconds.
Of course, being a Lamborghini and with all those mind-blowing specs, the Aventador SVJ is a very expensive car. The vehicle costs $517,700 in the US. Its production is limited to 900 examples only.

Vietnamese Automaker VinFast Unveils New Sedan and SUV
A new player is here! Vinfast just unveiled its own sedan and sport utility vehicle at the 2018 Paris Auto Show on Tuesday.
Vinfast, a subsidiary of Vingroup, is Vietnam’s first volume car manufacturer. The company brought the LUX A2.0 Sedan and the LUX SA2.0 SUV to the huge crowd to mark their entry into the automotive scene.
The LUX A2.0 Sedan is characterized by its long flowing body lines, chrome accents, narrow headlamps, thin horizontal slats in the radiator grille and “V” logo. Meanwhile, the LUX SA2.0 SUV also has the same character elements found in the sedan but it adopts a more muscular stance, chunkier body and bigger front grille.
The Vinfast units have an Italian-inspired design. The engineering of the autos makes use of European technology but with the Vietnamese spirit.
According to the Telegraph , a nationwide poll was held in Vietnam, which was participated by around 62,000 people. From there, they chose their favorite designs from different sketches. The result of the poll was eventually carried into the designs of the LUX A2.0 Sedan and LUX SA2.0 SUV.
The vehicles come with a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine. The power unit has two trims configured to deliver 173 bhp and 227 bhp. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Vinfast revealed that the deliveries of the vehicles will start in September 2019. The units will be assembled in the company’s 355-hectare plant in Northern Vietnam. The facility is estimated to produce up to 250,000 vehicles per year.
There are plans to bring both the LUX A2.0 Sedan and LUX SA2.0 SUV to customers overseas in the future. Vinfast is exploring the possibility of making city cars, electric vehicles, and buses too.
The vehicles were introduced by Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vinfast chairwoman. She was joined by football legend David Beckham and Miss Vietnam, Trần Tiểu Vy, on the stage.
