This is a 3-bedroom, 1-bath cottage built in the modernist style that was popular in the late 50's and early 60's.

As is typical of this style, the living room windows don't open for ventilation but the walls do! It's just a short walk to a magnificent ocean beach with majestic sand dunes.

Surf King offers ceiling fans throughout, Wi-fi Internet access, a working fireplace, indoor and outdoor showers, a screened-in porch, charcoal BBQ and picnic table outside and a roof-top deck.

The kitchen area has a refrigerator/freezer, a 4 burner gas stove with oven, modern sink and granite countertop, dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster, a drip coffeemaker with filters along with pots and pans and dishes.

This cottage rents on a Saturday to Saturday basis during the summer season.

• Check-in

  Check-in time has typically been after 3:00 pm. Due to the required enhanced cleaning and minimum of 6 hours between guests, we have had to extend check-in time to 4:00 pm. Your understanding is appreciated.

• Check-out

  Check-out time is by 10:00 am. Because of the required enhanced cleaning, we are not able to offer late check-outs at this time.

• Pets

  Not allowed in this cottage, sorry.

• Policies

  Quiet Hours begin each night at 10:00. After that time, please restrict your activities to those that would not awaken a child who may be asleep next door.
  
  The cottage is rented with the understanding that it will be left clean and in good order. Your cleaning/security deposit will be refunded by mail, after check-out, provided that the cleaning guidelines, that we leave in the cottage, are followed.
  
  This cottage is equipped and zoned for occupancy by a maximum of 6 people (strictly enforced).
  
  Reservations are considered as commitments for the full time period requested. Deposits are viewed by cottage owners as security against vacancies caused by cancellations or date changes.
  If you must cancel a reservation, your deposit will be refunded (minus a cancellation fee equal to 15% of the total rent amount) as soon as the cottage is re-rented for that reservation period and the next renter's deposit is received.
  

• Fees

  Besides the rent, there is a 14.45% state occupancy tax collected. There is also a refundable $200.00 cleaning/security deposit but aside from that, there are no other fees involved with staying at this cottage.
  In season, the town sells a beach parking permit only to Wellfleet renters. We offer a "Proof of Stay form" to our renters which will allow them to purchase the parking permit which is good at 4 ocean beaches, 3 fresh-water ponds and 5 bay beaches.
  Of course, all of these beaches can be accessed on foot or by bicycle for free. Our beach is just down the street!

"I have stayed at Surf King cottage for two years now. It is a simple, tidy, well-maintained split-level three-bedroom cottage with a screened porch and roof deck. A sandy path leads to the beach ... you don't need shoes or to cross any roads. The couple that manages the community could not be nicer or more competent, and had lots of helpful suggestions about things to do and restaurants to try, including the exceptional nearby pastry shop. The beach is very dog friendly, especially after labor day, and at the right time you can walk for hours without seeing anyone. We lit a fire and just sat around and told stories and laughed the entire night. The cottage is an excellent location just a short walk away from the ocean which you can hear from your room at night! The roof top deck had beautiful view of the ocean in the distance. It was the perfect place to catch up with old friends and relax. The managers of the property were very nice and accomodating offering a wealth of knowledge of Wellfleet. I can't wait to go back in the summer. "We visited Surf King in October. It was very peaceful and this was pretty much the last weekend Surfside Cottages are open. We loved going up on the roof to listen to the surf and we lucked out with really nice weather. The fireplace in Surf King was so cozy and the kitchen has everything you need.
